Black Wolverine Book Fund

Greetings Fellow Black Wolverines and Supporters,

ReliveTheBAR is proud to announce that the Black Wolverine Book Fund will return for its fourth consecutive year. For those not familiar, the Black WolverineBook Fund is an annual program dedicated to connecting Black undergraduates with Black alumni through mentorship and the sponsorship of necessary textbooks for the fall semester. This year, due to remote learning, we are asking for sponsors to be open to the possibility of purchasing equipment and special tools for students that would typically be provided on campus.

We are also looking for alumni to serve as mentors, or "Big Wolverines" to the "Young Wolverines." Mentorship is voluntary and the relationship of the participants is entirely at the discretion of the Big and Young Wolverine. We only ask that alumni allow for an open communication line for their students to seek advice and guidance as they matriculate through the university. The matching period begins Friday, August 28th and will be conducted on a rolling basis.

We believe the Black Wolverine community can significantly benefit from a program that works to bridge the gap between alumni and undergraduate students. Many times, insight and wisdom disappears through the transition of students to alumni, and we want to continuously build upon what previous students have put in place. Through this program, we believe our community  will be able to align with the African proverb of "Each One Teach One."
